Virtus Segafredo Bologna bolstered its frontcourt by inking forward Jakarr Sampson to a two-year contract, the club announced Monday. Sampson (2.06 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Indiana of the NBA, where he averaged 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 30 games last season. He started his career with Delaware of the G League, and has also played for Philadelphia, Denver, Sacramento and Chicago of the NBA, Iowa, Reno, Windy City and Fort Wayne also of the G League, as well as for Shandong Golden Bears of China. Sampson is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Virtus next month.
