Buducnost inks athletic forward Wiley

Wiley (2.02 meters, 26 years old) split time between Spanish sides Herbalife Gran Canaria and Casademont Zaragoza last season. Wiley made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Gran Canaria last season, averaging 10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in seven regular season appearances. Later in the season with Zaragoza he posted 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in the Basketball Champions League, while finishing the Spanish League with 10.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 25 appearances. Prior to last season, Wiley spent two seasons in the EuroLeague with Gran Canaria and Panathinaikos OPAP Athens and has averaged 6.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in those games. Earlier in his career, Wiley has also played for Adelaide of Australia, Brooklyn in the NBA, Long Island in the D-League and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany. He finished his college basketball career at Eastern Washington University as the 2017 Big Sky Conference Player of the Year.

Ulm brings aboard rising star Zugic

Zugic (1.98 meters, 17 years old) arrives from Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, for whom he averaged 5.3 points over 12 EuroCup games last season. On February 22, 2019, when Buducnost was in the EuroLeague, Zugic played for 42 seconds of a road game against Zalgiris Kaunas, making him the youngest player EuroLeague player this century at 15 years and 157 days old. Zugic also played on loan to U18 Stellazzurra Rome in the 2019-20 ANGT qualifying tournament in Munich, averaging 18.3 points over four games until a loss in the title game to Real Madrid.

Keene (1.75 meters, 26 years old) averaged 20.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 22 games. Keene graduated as his high school's all-time leading scorer in San Antonio, and then played college ball in Youngstown State and Central Michigan between 2013 and 2017. After going undrafted, he made his pro debut in 2017 with Cagliari of the Italian second division. He also played in South Korea and Taiwan before joining Kalev/Cramo the Summer of 2020. This will be Keene's debut in the 7DAYS EuroCup.

Reynolds (2.01 meters, 26 years old) split his time between San Antonio and Houston in the NBA and Austin in the G-League last season. He made a total of five limited appearances in the NBA, posting 3.0 points and 1.0 rebounds, while in 15 games with Austin he averaged 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Since turning pro in 2018, Reynolds has split his time between the NBA, where he was with Minnesota, Milwaukee, San Antonio and Houston, and the G-League teams Stockton, Wisconsin and finally Austin. Reynolds was also a member of the US national team in the 2019 World Cup qualifiers. Now, he arrives to play his first season on the European continent and is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.

Herbalife Gran Canaria continued to give shape to its front line by re-signing veteran center Oliver Stevic to a one-year deal, the club announced on Saturday

Stevic (2.05 meters, 37 years old) started last season with Fuenlabrada before arriving at Gran Canaria in November and helped the team reach the EuroCup Semifinals, averaging 3.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He also posted 5.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in the Spanish League action. This will be the tenth EuroCup season for Stevic who made his competition debut in the 2007-08 campaign with Slask Wroclaw of Poland, and has also played in the EuroCup with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade in Serbia, EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany, Stelmet Zielona Gora back in Poland, then with Spanish League sides MoraBanc Andorra and Joventut Badalona. He has played in 89 career EuroCup games averaging 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds, and has another EuroCup semifinal appearance in 2019 with Andorra. Stevic started his career with FMP Zeleznik of his native Serbia, and apart from the aforementioned EuroCup clubs, he also played for Borac Cacak and Masinac Kraljevo of Serbia, Anwil Wloclawek of Poland, Bilbao Basket, Fuenlabrada and San Pablo Burgos in Spain, Royal Hali Gaziantep of Turkey, Novipiu Casale Monferrato of Italy and Igokea in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Punter (1.93 meters, 28 years old) is coming off a stellar campaign in a jersey of AX Armani Exchange Milan, where he averaged 14.3 points in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, finishing just outside the Top 10 in scoring. Punter started 33 of 36 games, helping Milan reach the Final Four. He also averaged 11.1 points in Italian League action. Punter made his EuroLeague debut a season earlier with Olympiacos Piraeus, before joining Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade mid-season and posting 15.9 points on 48.1% three-point shooting in 12 games with Partizan's arch-rival. Punter also played for Virtus Segafredo Bologna in the 2018-19 season, when he led the team to the Basketball Champions League title while claiming the final four MVP honors. It was Punter's second consecutive BCL title; he lifted the trophy with AEK Athens in 2018. Punter started his professional career with Lavrio of Greece and also played for Antwerp Giants in Belgium as well as Rosa Radom in Poland. Now, he returns to Belgrade where he is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.

Pustovyi (2.18 meters, 29 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona, where he averaged 2.8 points on 69.6% two-point shooting and 1.2 rebounds in 15 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He helped Barcelona win the Spanish League and Cup double and reach the EuroLeague championship game last season. Pustovyi also lifted the Spanish Cup with Barcelona in 2019.

Pustovyi began his career with Khimik in his native Ukraine and spent five seasons with its senior team, including the 2013-14 campaign, in which he competed in the 7DAYS EuroCup. He led Khimik to the 2015 Ukrainian League title. Pustovyi moved to Spain in 2015 and played there for three seasons with Monbus Obradoiro. He has also represented the Ukrainian national team.

Hayes (2.05 meters, 24 years old) arrives from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne where he averaged 3 points and 2.6 rebounds in limited minutes. Hayes also had a total of 18 blocks in 20 appearances, which ranked him fifth in the competition with 3.3 blocks per-40 minutes. Hayes helped ASVEL lift the French double – league and cup crowns – averaging 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in French League action. Hayes started his pro career in the 2019-20 season with Pallacanestro Cantu in Italy, where he led the Italian League in blocks (2.6 bpg.). Hayes is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.

Former All-EuroLeague selection and 2019 7DAYS EuroCup champion Fernando San Emeterio announced his retirement as a basketball player on Friday at a ceremony at La Fonteta, Valencia Basket's court that has served as his second home for the past six seasons.

With many of his former coaches and teammates in attendance, the 37-year-old hung up his uniform after 20 seasons as a professional player, and will start next chapter of his basketball journey as an assistant on Valencia head coach Joan Penarroya staff.

San Emeterio played a total of 10 seasons in the EuroLeague – seven with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and three with Valencia Basket. His best season came in 2010-11 when he averaged 13.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists and led the league in PIR with 19.1 in carrying Baskonia to the EuroLeague Playoffs. San Emeterio earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors that season. He also played four seasons in the EuroCup – one with Akasvayu Girona and three with Valencia.

Over the course of his career, San Emeterio has stuffed his trophy case with all sorts of titles. He was the hero of Baskonia's 2010 Spanish League finals victory over FC Barcelona when he scored the go-ahead, title-clinching basket-plus-foul, which has gone down as one of the most iconic images in club history. He also won the Spanish League in 2017 in Valencia. San Emeterio won the Spanish SuperCup once each with Baskonia and Valencia. He also took home Spanish Copa del Rey in 2009 with Baskonia and the 2007 FIBA Euro Cup with Girona. A long-time member of the Spanish national team, San Emeterio captured EuroBasket gold medals in 2011 and 2015 and EuroBasket bronze medals in 2013 and 2017. He won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
