Promitheas reels in rising talent Rogkavopoulos

Rogkavopoulos (2.03 meters, 20 years old) has already spent three seasons with AEK Athens in both the Greek League and the FIBA Basketball Champions League. His playing time rose into double digits last season, when he averaged 5.0 points and 2.1 rebounds domestically while posting 3.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in international competition. After being been a double-digit scorer for Greece at the youth level, and an all-tournament choice at the 2019 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championships, Rogkavopoulos debuted for the senior men's national team at the recent pre-Olympic tournament in Canada.

Trento adds Bradford to backcourt

Bradford (1.93 meters, 25 years old) is two years into his pro career after having starred at East Tennessee State University from 2014 to 2018. His latest club was Pheonix Brussels of the Belgian League, where he averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 17 domestic league games as well as 14.2 points 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in six FIBA Europe Cup games. Bradford's first pro season was spent with Egis Kormend of the Hungarian League.

After making its international debut in the 7DAYS EuroCup last season, Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse is back looking to make some more noise. Bourg reached the EuroCup Top 16 last season and will look to be at peak physical and mental shape when the knock-out games arrive.

The club was founded in 1910 and the basketball section was opened in 1947. Bourg jumped to what is now the fifth division in 1963 and was promoted again in 1969. For many years, Bourg floated between the French fourth to sixth divisions. A big jump came in 1994 after winning the fourth division title. In just its second season in the third flight, Bourg captured the title and entered the world of professional basketball by reaching the second division in 1996 - thanks to the one-year stint of future French international and Olympic silver medallist Crawford Palmer.

Bourg reached the elite level in 2000 by winning the second division. It remained in the first division for seven seasons - and reached the French Leaders Cup final in 2006. Bourg dropped to the second division in 2007 and stayed there until 2014. It was a one-year stay though as the team went back down to the ProB. It did have success after the relegation, winning the French ProB Leaders Cup crown in 2016 and taking the French second league title in 2017. Bourg showed right away back in the first division that it was ready for bigger challenges, missing the playoffs by one game in 2018 and on a tiebreaker in 2019. Bourg also reached the 2019 French Leaders Cup final, losing to Strasbourg. In 2019-20, Bourg was on its way to finally reach the playoffs with a 16-9 record and fifth place in the standings when the COVID-19 pandemic caused the end of the season.

When basketball resumed, Bourg was ready to make history. Led by Danilo Andjusic, Pierre Pelos and Ante Tomic, Bourg advanced to the EuroCup Top 16 in its maiden go-around in the competition. A series of injuries and roster changes prevented Bourg from being more competitive in the second group stage. Andjusic finished as the competition's second-best scorer (17.4 ppg.). The team was fifth in the French League regular season with a 22-12 record, but reigning EuroCup champion Monaco claimed victory in their single-game quarterfinal. Heading into its EuroCup sophomore season, Bourg has learned some valuable lessons. Expect it to be even more competitive in the 2021-22 campaign.

Promitheas Patras has announced the signing of big man Jerai Grant for the coming 7DAYS EuroCup season

Promitheas, Grant stay together

Grant (2.05 meters, 32 years old) played 27 Greek League games last season for Promitheas after the team was eliminated in the EuroCup Regular Season. In that stint, he put up 11.6 points on 62.0% two-point accuracy and pulled 5.4 rebounds on average. Grant played two previous seasons in the EuroCup, averaging 8.4 points and 4.8 rebounds for Ventspils of Latvia during the 2014-15 campaign and returning the next season with Neptunas Klaipeda to put up 8.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while reaching that season's Last 32 round. After four seasons at Clemson University, Grant has also played pro ball for Sydney in Australia, Brindisi and Ravenna of Italy, Strasbourg of France, AEK Athens of Greece, Maccabi Haifa of Israel and Manama of Bahrain.

Lietkabelis Panevezys reached an agreement with Spanish powerhouse Movistar Estudiantes to get guard Dovydas Giedraitis on loan next season, the 7DAYS EuroCup club announced Monday

Lietkabelis gets Giedraitis on loan

Giedraitis (1.93 meters, 20 years old) averaged 6.4 points in 16 Spanish League games last season. He started his career in his native Lithuania, playing for Ezerunas-Karys Moletai, Volfas Engelman Vilnius and VISI KARTU Vilnius's U17 team, and joined Estudiantes in December 2017. Giedraitis has also been a member of the Lithuanian U16, U18 and U19 national teams. He helped Lithuania win a silver medal at the 2016 U16 European Championships. Giedraitis is set to make his EuroCup debut with Lietkabelis in the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.

Partizan NIS Belgrade locked a talent for the long term as it re-signed Aleksa Stepanovic for three seasons, the club announced Sunday.

Partizan locks up Stepanovic for three years

Stepanovic (2.06 meters, 23 years old) came to Partizan at the end of last season and played five games for the club and collected 5.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists. The Serbian forward came up in the Nis system but moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina and played for OKK Spars Sarajevo, starring at the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Belgrade in 2016 as he collected 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. Stepanovic left Spars in 2018 to join Serbian side Dynamic Belgrade and played for Metalac Valjevo in 2019-20 before staring last season with Sloboda Uzice. Stepanovic also played for Serbia at the FIBA U18 European Championship 2016 and the FIBA U20 European Championship in 2018 and 2018.

Boulogne Metropolitans 92 added some major experience as it signed former EuroCup champion Will Cummings for the up-coming season, the club announced Saturday

Metropolitans adds experience with ex champ Cummings

Cummings (1.86 meters, 28 years old) arrives at Metropolitans after playing last season with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, where the guard collected 12.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 19 EuroCup games. Cummings guided Lokomotiv to the Quarterfinals last season, his second campaign with the Russian club. In 2017-18, Cummings helped Darussafaka Istanbul to the EuroCup title, being named Finals Game 1 MVP. After finishing his college career at Temple, Cummings played for Rio Grande in the G-League before finishing the 2015-16 season with Trento in Italy. He played for Greek side Aris the following season and between stops with Darussafaka and Lokomotiv Cummings starred for EWE Oldenburg in Germany and was named the season's MVP.

Partizan NIS Belgrade added a major weapon from the outside with the signing of sniper Dallas Moore for one season, the club announced Saturday

Partizan brings in sniper Moore

Moore (1.83 meters, 27 years old), played last season in China for Guangzhou and averaged 27.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.5 steals. The guard also shot 41.4 percent from three-point range in 2020-21.

This will be Moore's third experience playing in the EuroCup after he collected 14.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 10 games with Nanterre 92 in 2019-20, during which he connected on 46.7 percent of his three-point attempts. Moore also played in two EuroCup games for Fiat Turin in 2018-19.

Moore finished his collegiate career with North Florida in 2017 and spent his first professional season in Italy with Pesaro. He followed that with a split season in Turin and Hapoel Tel Aviv before moving to Nanterre.

Llovet (2.02 meters, 30 years old) averaged 3.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He joined Andorra in 2019 and has played in two editions of the EuroCup. Before that, Llovet grew up and played six seasons as a pro with Joventut Badalona and then moved to Obradoiro of Spain, where he played another three seasons.
