Johnson (2.08 meters, 32 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich where he averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 rebounds as he helped the team make history and reach the EuroLeague Playoffs. He also posted 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in German League action. Johnson is a former EuroCup champion, having won the competition with Darussafaka Istanbul in 2018. He has four EuroCup seasons under his belt, one apiece with Besiktas Istanbul, Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd and the most recent with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in the 2018-19. In 62 career appearances in the competition he has posted 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds. Veteran big forward made his professional debut with Boston in the NBA. He also played for Fort Wayne, Canton and Idaho of the D-League before starting his European career. He has also played with Gruppo Tesi Pistoia and Pallacanestro Cantu in Italy, a Turkish side Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul, and Guangdong in China.

Hamburg Towers is the only newcomer to the 7DAYS EuroCup for the 2021-22 campaign. This is another step forward for a young club that was still competing in the German second division in 2019. Hamburg comes off its best season, which led to the German powerhouse's spot in the EuroCup and it will aim to make the most of this opportunity.

The club was founded in February 2013 when former EuroCup star Pascal Roller and entrepreneur Wolfgang Sahm announced a plan to bring back professional basketball to Hamburg for the first time in over a decade. Hamburg started in the German second division, playing its first game against Giessen 46ers on September 29, 2014. It finished eighth that season with a 15-15 record and reached the playoffs, but lost against s.Oliver Baskets Wuerzburg in the quarterfinals.

Hamburg remained in the German second division for the next four seasons and developed a strong youth structure. Everything clicked in 2018-19. With former player Marvin Willoughby as the team's sports director, Hamburg put together a competitive roster led by Beau Beech and Jannik Freese. It ranked fourth at the end of the regular season with a 19-11 record and defeated Rostock Seawolves, Niners Chemnitz and Nuernberg Falcons to win the German second division title and promotion to the country's elite. Hamburg had a rough German League debut, ranking last with a 3-17 record. However, the German League expanded to 18 teams for the 2020-21 season, and that allowed Hamburg to keep its place in the top flight.

Last season the club brought in Pedro Calles, one of the best young coaches in Europe, and found the right chemistry with Maik-Kalev Kotsar, Kameron Taylor, T.J. Shorts and Jordan Swing. It all seemed to click as Hamburg beat ALBA Berlin and Brose Baskets twice, split victories with FC Bayern Munich and qualified to the playoffs after finishing the regular season ranked seventh overall with a 21-13 record. ALBA stood in its way to success, sweeping Hamburg in the best-of-five quarterfinals. Hamburg now makes its debut in European competition, taking its ambitious project to a new level. Expect Hamburg to continue growing, as it has taken the right steps to do so.

Seeley (1.93 meters, 31 years old) arrives at Buducnost after playing last season with FC Bayern Munich in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. The guard averaged 8.1 points, 1.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 27 games in Germany after joining Bayern on a move from Casademont Zaragoza during the season. Seeley, who also played in the EuroLeague for Maccabi Tel Aviv, will be appearing in the EuroCup for the fifth season for a fifth different team. He played for Radnicki Kragujevac in 2013-14, Besiktas Istanbul and Herbalife Gran Canaria in 2015-16, Gran Canaria again in 2017-18 and Rytas Vilnius in 2018-19.

Umana Reyer Venice added some versatility at the forward position with the signing of Vasilis Charalampopoulos to a multi-year deal, the club announced Sunday

Charalampopoulos (2.02 meters, 24 years old) arrives at Reyer after playing last season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Olympiacos Piraeus, where he averaged 2.5 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 7 minutes per game over 11 contests. Charalampopoulos came up in the Egaleo system and signed with Panathinaikos Athens in 2012. He played there until December 2017 when he moved to PAOK Thessaloniki for the remainder of the season. Charalampopoulos played for GS Lavrio in 2018-19 before moving to Olympiacos in 2019. He has won two Greek League crowns and three Greek Cups with Panathinaikos and also claimed the gold medal with Greece at the FIBA U18 European Championship 2015 and FIBA U20 European Championship 2017. This will be Charalampopoulos' first stint outside of his homeland. But he will have a connection to home at Reyer as Greek national team guard and former Panathinaikos teammate Michael Bramos plays for the Italian side.

Paunic (1.98 meters, 34 years old) arrived at Lokomotiv last season from Mega Belgrade and averaged 1.7 points and 0.8 rebounds in 6 minutes in six EuroCup games. The 2021-22 season will be the Serbian guard's seventh campaign in the EuroCup. He also played in the competition with Greek side Aris (2009-10), Azovmash Mariupol of Ukraine (2012-13), Montenegro club Buducnost VOLI Podgorica (2014-15), Fuenlabrada of Spain (2016-17) and Turkish club Tofas Bursa (2017-18). Paunic was also a member of the Serbian national team, taking silver at the FIBA EuroBasket 2009 while also playing at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2010 and the 2011 EuroBasket.

Joventut Badalona comes off a season in which it reached the EuroCup playoffs with a mix of experienced veterans and up-and-coming talent. The club will stick with the same recipe in the 2021-22 campaign, which could have Joventut playing a significant role when the most decisive games of the season arrive.

Founded in 1930, Joventut quickly built a reputation based on its faith in homegrown players. The long list of Joventut players brought up through its youth system features decades' worth of stars such as Jordi Villacampa, the Margall brothers, the Jofresa brothers, Nino Buscato, Rudy Fernandez and Ricky Rubio. To its mine of local talent, Joventut integrated talented outsiders, among whom the names Moka Slavnic, Joe Galvin and Corny Thompson stand out.

Joventut emerged as a national power by winning four Spanish Copas del Rey between 1948 and 1958 and its first league title in 1967. A first European trophy came in 1981 when it lifted the Korac Cup. Joventut added a second Korac Cup in 1990. Soon after moving to Palau Olimpic, its current home court, Joventut won consecutive Spanish League titles in 1991 and 1992, the year in which the team lost the EuroLeague final against Partizan in dramatic fashion. However, Joventut only waited two more years to lift the crown. Villacampa and Thompson hit crucial three-pointers to beat Olympiacos in Tel Aviv and win the EuroLeague.

After winning the Copa del Rey in 1997, a downturn followed. Joventut started to shine again in the newborn EuroCup and reached the semifinals in 2003. Joventut had its breakout season in 2006, as it advanced to the Spanish League semifinals and won a new European trophy, the FIBA EuroCup. The following season, Joventut returned to the Spanish League semifinals and made the EuroLeague Top 16. In 2008, Joventut added the ULEB Cup to its roll of honors. Joventut also won the Copa del Rey and reached the Spanish League semifinals to round out one of the best seasons in club history.

Joventut reached the EuroCup Last 16 in 2010, but lost its competitiveness shortly thereafter. It bounced back in 2018-19, reaching the Copa del Rey semifinals and the Spanish League playoffs behind Spanish League MVP Nico Laprovittola. Last season, Ante Tomic, Neno Dimitrijevic and Xabi Lopez-Arostegui took Joventut to the EuroCup Quarterfinals, where it was stopped by Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Some of the team's most experienced players are homegrown, which means Joventut's commitment to excellence is unquestioned as it looks to climb even higher this season.

Giedraitis (1.94 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Pieno Zvaigdzes Pasvalys, where he averaged 8.2 points and 2.2 assists in 33 Lithuanian League games last season. He briefly played for Lietkabelis in the 2018-19 campaign, averaging 2.3 points in 3 Lithuanian League games. Giedraitis started his career with S. Marciulioni KA-Blancomet of his native Lithuania and also played for Perlas Vilnius and Rytas Vilnius, where he made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut in the 2019-20 campaign. Giedraitis has been a member of the Lithuanian U18, U19 and U20 national teams.

Gagic (2.10 meters, 30 years old) averaged 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in just two games after joining Lietkabelis late in the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup season, which the team did not survive. Gagic was reunited with head coach Nenad Canak, who had coached him during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons at Partizan NIS Belgrade. Gagic has now played 36 games total over parts of four EuroCup seasons, averaging 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in that time. He also played two seasons with Partizan in the EuroLeague, averaging 4.0 points and 3.4 rebounds between 2012 and 2014.

Gagic has also played for Crvena Zvezda Belgrade and Hemofarm Stada Vrsac in Serbia; Mornar Bar in Montenegro; Tenerife in Spain; Tsmoki Minsk in Belarus; Royal Hali Gaziantep, Yesilgiresun Belediye and Istanbul BB in Turkey; Aris Thessaloniki in Greece and Igokea in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a two-time Serbian League champion, won the Serbian Cup twice and the Adriatic League in 2013. Gagic has also been a member of the Serbian national team, with which he won a bronze medal at the 2013 World University Games.

Rogkavopoulos (2.03 meters, 20 years old) has already spent three seasons with AEK Athens in both the Greek League and the FIBA Basketball Champions League. His playing time rose into double digits last season, when he averaged 5.0 points and 2.1 rebounds domestically while posting 3.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in international competition. After being been a double-digit scorer for Greece at the youth level, and an all-tournament choice at the 2019 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championships, Rogkavopoulos debuted for the senior men's national team at the recent pre-Olympic tournament in Canada.

Promitheas Patras has added some promising youth talent for the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup season with the announcement on Wednesday that forward Nikos Rogkavopoulos has joined the club for the next three seasons.
