Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana added another weapon to its frontcourt with the signing of big man Zach Auguste, the club announced late Monday. Auguste (2.08 meters, 28 years old) returns to the EuroCup after playing a key role for Galatasaray Istanbul for two seasons from 2018 through 2020. He averaged 13.4 points on 69.4% two-point shooting and 7.1 rebounds in 16 EuroCup games in the second of those seasons. Auguste played for Panathinaikos OPAP Athens last season and posted 4.6 points on 67.8% shooting and 2.3 boards in 21 EuroLeague games. He helped the Greens win the Greek championship, as he did in his first season with Panathinaikos in 2017-18. Auguste played college basketball at the University of Notre Dame and started his professional basketball career with Usak of Turkey before his first season with Panathinaikos.
